In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and international intellectual property treaties, we respond promptly to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement.

If you believe that character descriptions, avatar artwork, or lore text hosted on our platform infringes upon your copyright, you may submit an expedited notice to our Designated Copyright Agent.

How to Submit an Expedited Takedown Request

The fastest way to file a claim is through our dedicated Takedown Request Portal. Alternatively, you may email a formal notice to [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA Notice of Copyright Infringement".

Required Information in Your Notice

To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notification must include:

  1. Identification of Copyrighted Work: A description or link to the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (e.g., your original portfolio link, artwork URL, or registration number).
  2. Identification of Infringing Content: The exact YourCrush URL(s) where the infringing character or asset is located. Generic descriptions cannot be processed without specific URLs.
  3. Contact Details: Your legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and official email address.
  4. Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy Statement under Penalty of Perjury: A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Physical or Electronic Signature: The physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If a creator believes their character or avatar was removed mistakenly or misidentified, they may submit a counter-notification containing the statutory elements under § 512(g)(3). Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will notify the original claimant and follow the statutory 10-14 business day restoration timeline unless court proceedings are initiated.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with our statutory obligations, YourCrush maintains a strict repeat infringer policy. Accounts determined to be repeat infringers of intellectual property will have their publishing privileges revoked and accounts permanently terminated.
